Ross Dawson's new Beneteau First 34.7 CALAMANSI won IRC Division B of Hebe Haven Yacht Club's prestigious Typhoon Series. Dawson selected a limited inventory of a main and genoa (Tape-Drive Carbon that used A2ML laminate with carbon tapes), an Airx 700 asymmetric spinnaker, and Code Zero. �We looked at the conditions we normally encounter for the series and elected to utilize the single furling genoa rating allowance,� said Dawson. �Although we have a limited sail inventory, all the sails have been outstanding up and down the wind range. UK-Halsey Hong Kong's service has been superb. Barry Hayes and his team have done a fantastic job for us since the boat arrived. They have been a key player in the success we have enjoyed this year.�
Coming up in October for Team CALAMANSI are the China Coast Regatta, and the China Cup International Regatta. All at UK-Halsey wish them continued success.
