Mauricio Santa Cruz, winner of the J/24 Worlds in 2006, 2007, and 2009 has brought his Rio de Janeiro loft into the UK-Halsey group. When Mauricio won the J/24 Worlds in Melbourne in 2006 with his own company�s sails, it was the first time in a decade that a boat won with sails other than ones with blue dots. Since then he has won the J/24 Worlds on three different continents.
Mauricio will be a one-design leader in the UK-Halsey group. With more than 40 lofts around the world, Mauricio will have many more markets he can reach as his sails are sold through local lofts. To help meet the increased production, UK-Halsey Texas will make the sails that Mauricio designs, develops and specs out.
