UK Sailmakers Hong Kong is at the forefront of the growing sailing scene in Asia. In the local region and even further afield, our race course successes help us maintain a very high profile in providing both the cruising sailor and the competitive racing sailor with a top quality product at a very attractive price.
It is interesting to note that UK-Halsey Hong Kong has been in operation for considerably longer than the more recent regional growth in sailing.
UK Hong Kong was a very successful "Horizon Sails" loft before joining the original "Ulmer Kolius" group. From there the change to "UK Sailmakers" and finally "UK-Halsey" was a natural progression. With a production level in excess of several thousand yacht sails per year, UK-Halsey Hong Kong is one of the largest production lofts in the UK-Halsey group, if not the world.
To maintain such impressive volumes while maintaining absolutely top-level product, requires very effective and efficient Production and Quality Control systems. Our skilled and dedicated Management team comprises experienced expatriate racing sailors and sailmakers, working alongside forty highly trained and skilled Chinese sailmakers. In fact most of our production staff have been with us for over ten years. This level of dedication and experience helps us maintain a quality level that is the envy of other sailmakers ‘round the world.
So, with the recent regional growth in sailing, coupled with the highly successful long term history of the company, it is little wonder UK Sailmakers Hong Kong is enjoying such success.
