Miami sailmaker Mark Wood has been a sailmaker for over 30 years. Mark is an accomplished ocean racer, having won the SORC, St. Petersburg — Ft. Lauderdale Race, and the Worth Monroe Race from Miami to Palm Beach. Mark has raced in 20 SORC regattas, 10 Key West Race Weeks and the last 10 Antigua Race Weeks. He is a member of the Coral Reef Yacht Club.
Mark joined the UK group in order to work with the top sailmakers in the world as well as make and sell sails built with the patented Tape-Drive® construction system. Tape-Drive® is leading-edge load-path technology that makes the fastest and most durable racing and cruising sails on the market.
Above is the CND 76 VIVANT with an inventory of Spectra/Kevlar Tape-Drive sails. These sails ahve two transatlantic crossings on them and the boat is on it's way around Cape Horn next.
