Building on the success of the UK-Halsey One Design Soling and J-24 sails, UK-Halsey Texas designer Pedro Gianotti has applied his considerable talents to the popular J-22. The sails are designed to work well with both the flat mast step and angled mast step, although the rig tuning may differ somewhat. The sail cloth is Dimension Polyant strong fill weave, with the exclusive HTP hard shell finish. The results are sail shapes that are very stable yet easily controllable. The UK-Halsey One Design Mainsail has a shortened leech allowing for more roach for sail area up high. This sail area is carried with 4 RBS tapered battens. The main comes complete with spreader window, collision window, draft stripes, numbers, insignia, and cunningham. The Jib also comes with a collision window, 3 RBS tapered battens, draft stripes, and jib cunningham. The AP Spinnaker shape was adapted from past successful spinnaker molds, modified to take advantage of the superior strength of the Matrix Tri-radial panel layout. The sail is offered in Airex 650. Build the fast spinnaker mold into the strongest, most stable spinnaker available by combining the strength of Airex with the AP Matrix Tri-radial panel layout. And best of all, you can pick whatever color you want for each panel (Use the UK Color Your Own Spinnaker program. Extra charges for more than 3 colors).
