UK-Halsey Sailmakers has produced a 17-minute video entitled, "The Cruising Spinnaker A-Z" and it is for sale through our online store. These asymmetrical spinnakers need no spinnaker pole, which makes them the perfect sail for shorthanded cruising crews. The generic name for these sails is the asymmetrical pole-less cruising spinnakers. Needless to say every sailmaker has come up with a much shorter name. We call these sails the Flasher because it makes downwind sailing fast and fun. We've also nick named the sail, the downwind diesel since you'll be able to sail downwind in light air without having to resort to running the engine.
